First Aid for Sailing and Watersports

Overview

Emergency First Aid at Work covering the full HSE syllabus, adapted for sailing and watersports. This is an excellent training package designed to provide the essential knowledge and skills to help yourself, family, team mates and friends during a medical emergency on the water. It also serves as an annual refresher, covering the full HSE syllabus plus additional topics such as head injuries, heart attack, asthma and much more.

Who It’s For

This course is ideal for:

• Sailors, boat crews and watersports enthusiasts
• Instructors, coaches and team leaders
• Families and individuals who want to be prepared for medical emergencies at sea

Accreditation

This course fulfils all the criteria for HSE Appointed Person First Aid training. Please note: a regulated practical course is required to become a fully certified First Aider.

Course Format

The course is delivered entirely online and includes illustrated step-by-step directions, flow charts, diagrams, videos, and test-yourself sections. It is fully compatible with all computers and mobile devices. You can stop and start as often as needed and print your Certificate upon completion.

Duration

This course takes approximately 6 hours to complete. Learners will have continuous access to the course for 12 months.

Important Information

This course does not replace the practical element of First Aid training. It provides the theoretical knowledge (and more) to accompany the Emergency First Aid at Work 6-hour course, adapted for sailing and watersports. A practical course should be booked separately if a regulated qualification is required.
