First Aid for Life is a multi-awarding-winning, first aid training provider. We are fully regulated and our trainers are highly experienced medical, health and emergency services professionals who will tailor the training to your needs.
Our ‘covid-secure’ practical courses are socially distanced, with enhanced hygiene and infection control measures and innovative new training methods to remove the need for contact whilst training.
In addition, we have a great range of superb online first aid courses (www.onlinefirstaid.com), consisting of videos, step by step directions, infographics, test yourself sections and can offer combinations of these courses as an option with a live Zoom call. They are compatible with all devices, you can stop and start as often as you like and you retain full access for an entire year. You can download and print your certificate on completion. Certificates are valid for 3 years and are equivalent to an Appointed Person qualification.

Emma established First Aid for Life in 2007 but was initially inspired when nursing; when she repeatedly saw the difference prompt and appropriate first aid makes to someone’s prognosis. Her key motivation came when working in the Burns Unit, looking after a little boy so badly burned he needed skin grafts. Had his mother known how to help; he may not even have needed to be admitted. Emma’s sister and nephew both became paraplegics following accidents and it opened her eyes to the importance of accident prevention, management and support following an accident and an overwhelming need to empower more people with the skills and confidence to help.
Emma is widely recognised as an authority on First Aid matters and regularly writes for online and print publications and features in media – she has also published 3 Amazon best sellers, which are endorsed by RoSPA and the Child Accident Prevention Trust.
Emma writes as first aid expert for the Nursing Times, British Journal of School Nursing, Journal of Child Health, British Dental Journal, Huffington Post, NCT, Primary School Management, Little London, Early Years Childcarer, SENCO magazine, the Mail, Evening Standard and many others. She is frequently called upon as a TV spokesperson on Sky News, BBC, Channel 5 News. She has also regularly appeared on Talk Radio with Mike Graham and Eamonn Holmes.
