This course is designed to give you the theoretical knowledge needed to help an older person a medical emergency. It is an ideal course for older people to learn how to look after each other, for children to look after parents and for home carers to learn how to confidently help when older people fall and suffer accidents and illnesses.

It is impossible to cover all eventualities within this course, or to equip you with the knowledge and skills to appropriately diagnose and treat in unpredictable real life situations. If you suspect serious illness or injury, you should always seek immediate professional medical advice.
